Is Holy Week and Easter Really About Yeshua?

April 02, 20267 min read

Did you know that the LDS Church now supports Holy Week?

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/comeuntochrist/easter/holy-week

This was a new thing to see over the last couple of years, and it actually surprised us because we knew Holy Week was a Catholic holiday. We were always taught that the Catholic church was the most abominable church of the earth so to have the LDS church start promoting it was a surprise to us. Here is a quote and a few links to show that the LDS church did teach this.

On the LDS Church’s website, it shows under a search for Easter that they do not observe Holy Week, so why is there a new push to celebrate it in the church today?

In March of 2024, there was an article in the Deseret News showing that there has been a change in the church celebrating Holy Week:

Deseret Book and Holy Week

It also looks like in April of 2023 was the earliest we could find when they started adding Holy Week.

It is interesting that this change happened after Russell Nelson met with Francis in the Vatican on 3/9/2019 for 33 min and there is a video on YouTube where Nelson calls the Francis “his holiness” (notice the 33 Freemason number) https://archives.stgeorgeutah.com/news/archive/2019/03/09/prc-jmr-lds-church-president-nelson-meets-with-pope-francis-in-vatican/

Did you notice how Nelson called the dedication of the Rome temple and the meeting with Francis a hinge point in the LDS church?

https://www.thechurchnews.com/2019/12/27/23215781/president-nelson-rome-hinge-point-church-history

So what is a hinge point?

The LDS leaders were also taking pictures in the LDS Rome temple March 11 (3x11=33), 2019(39) visitors center during their visit to Rome and one of the pictures was of Nelson holding the keys that Peter the statue was holding.

(If you would like to know more about Russell Nelson see this link)

Now it looks like this photo was scrubbed from the internet, so a question to ask is why was it scrubbed? What was Nelson trying to say in this photo?

What agreement was made between Francis and Nelson? Why did Nelson call Francis “his holiness?” The Roman Catholic Church claims that they hold the keys to the kingdom of God. Was there a transfer of power from the Catholic to the LDS church or from the LDS church to the Catholic church?

There are two keys that the St. Peter’s statue carries. Here is what we found they mean to the Catholic church:

Two keys of papal coat

If you notice on the coat of arms there are also three crowns. This represents the vicar of Christ. The meaning of vicar of Christ means “in place of Christ.”

It is very strange that these two men seem to be making deals during the masonic number 33 minutes, especially since we were always taught that the Catholic church was the most abominable church talked about in the scriptures, the mother of all harlots.

Are they trying to come into unity for the one world religion? Nelson would tell everyone to be good global citizens and the LDS church supports the UN Sustainable Development pins.

It is also very interesting how the Salt Lake Temple grounds are being changed to look like a keyhole and a lot like the Vatican.

There are also a lot of preachers that are uniting with Francis. Please watch the video below.

Here are some screenshots from the video that shows how many of these leaders are uniting together. Does this remind you of the one world religion?

Now that we have taken a look at when Holy Week started within the LDS Church, let’s take a look at how the Catholics celebrate Holy Week to see the background of their traditions. There are actually different traditions that the Catholics go through before Holy Week.

They start with Ash Wednesday when Lent begins. Ash Wednesday is when they put the ash of the cross of Tammuz (the false sun god) on their forehead and marks the start of the 40-day preparation for Easter which is called Lent. It is interesting to note, that before this Ash Wednesday they have all of these festivals like Mardi Gras where they have their last celebration of feasting, indulgence, and partying before lent. For Lent, they choose something that they will fast from or eat less of, have abstinence from meat on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays during Lent, increase prayer, do more acts of charity, and give something up (like sweets or social media, etc). Then on Palm Sunday, they start the Holy Week. This Holy Week ends with Easter Sunday. Holy week is a step-by-step remembrance of the final events of Jesus’ life.

In 325 AD there was the First Council of Nicaea. This was when the Roman Emperor Constantine (who claimed he was Christian) started merging pagan worship with Christian worship. This was when the council decided that Easter must be held after the first full moon following the vernal equinox. Constantine was a pagan worshipper where he worshipped the sun god and the moon god (the god of fertility). This was also when Christmas became a holiday (after the sun god Tammuz) and they moved sabbath day worship to Sunday (for sun god worship day).

Deuteronomy 12:30-32
take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, "How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise." You shall not worship the L
ORD your God in that way; for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. "Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

Let’s take a look at what Easter means. Easter is named after Eostre (or Ostara) an Anglo-Saxon or Germanic goddess of spring, dawn, and fertility. The 8th-century monk Bede wrote that the month of April (Eosturmōnaþ) was named in her honor, a name that eventually became applied to the Christian resurrection festival. Bunnies and eggs are associated with this false goddess.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Names_of_Easter

We have noticed that false goddess worship seems to be rebranded with many different names:

Eostre

Asherah

Ashteroth

Queen of Heaven

Ishtar

Semiramis

Moon goddess

Queen of Babylon

Madonna

Columbia

Mary

Heavenly Mother

Revelation 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1519701608295121/posts/4079685492296707/

Semiramis was the wife and mother of Nimrod (builder of Babel). Nimrod claimed himself as the god of the sun. After Nimrod’s violent death, Semiramis claimed he became the Sun God and got her pregnant . She allegedly bore a son, Tammuz, claiming he was Nimrod’s son and also Nimrod reborn through a miraculous conception so Tammuz was the sun god ‘reborn.’

Tammuz grew up and encountered a boar that killed him, but was resurrected from the dead because Semiramis wept for him and why ham is a tradition to be eaten for Easter. Lent came from the 40 days of fasting and weeping for Lent.

Semiramis claimed to be the goddess of the moon and was known as the fertility goddess with eggs and rabbits as her symbol.

The Lord condemned this through Ezekial 8:14-16 and Jeremiah 44:25

Nimrod was worshipped as the sun god (Hebrews refer to him as Baal or Moloch)

One of the big things that we have learned about the Catholic church, is that they worship the sun god and the queen of heaven which they now call Mary. Obelisks that you see around represent the worship of the sun god. They even have one at the Vatican.

Easter is not biblical and is not one of the festivals mentioned in the scriptures. If Easter is about the false moon goddess and bunnies and eggs to celebrate, is it really about Yeshua/Jesus? Who is really being worshipped if it isn't about Yeshua/Jesus?

1 Samuel 7:3
Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you return to the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and prepare your hearts for the LORD, and serve Him only; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.”

If you are ready to let go of old traditions and would like to build a real relationship with Yeshua and the Father, check out the narrow way resources at this link.
